Links
Generate links where users can pay directly, or take a couple of decisions before payment
Definition
The link in the Virtual POS creates a payment gateway. It offers great flexibility for initiating different types of transactions and gives both the customer and the merchant fine-grained control over their parameters. Compared to other methods, these links are easy to share via social media, chat apps, or even QR codes.
At Wipay, we adapt to each merchant’s needs, which is why we’ve developed links that go further. There are two kinds of links so you can sell your products no matter what your business does: links that allow a single transaction, and links that let you receive multiple payments, for example.
All links come with built-in statistics you can review to better understand your customers and define your own KPIs. Available metrics include:
Transactions initiated
Successful transactions
Gateways generated
Configure Your Link
Expiration Time
By default, links expire after 24 hours, but you can adjust this setting to suit your needs.
By Usage
You can create a link for one-time use or for multiple transactions, regardless of its purpose.
Single-Use Links (select the operation type)
These links remain active until they expire or until they’ve processed one transaction (whether successful or failed). They’re ideal for handling transactions individually. While a transaction is in progress, the link is locked, and if that transaction isn’t completed, the link automatically unlocks after 15 minutes.
Multiple-Payment Links
These links never lock and are designed for sharing to collect multiple payments. They remain active until their expiration time. They’re perfect for generating QR codes, sharing on social media, and so on.
By Purpose
We offer different link types tailored to your specific use case or your merchant’s needs (and you can configure any of them for single or multiple payments).
